Guilds

The realm is also regaining a sense of organization through various guilds that have survived the Sundering. Like religious or military groups, the guilds provide a foundation for which certain people can hold onto in times of trouble and chaos. For example, the Deepwater Trading Company is very wealthy and controls almost all aspects of commerce and trade throughout the realm. Without this establishment, goods and services of all kinds (from food distribution, trade between settlements, and the distribution and control of wealth), the entire realm would be in anarchy. It is even common fo some folk to belong to more than one guild at a time.
